Do you value equity, diversity and inclusion but don’t quite know how to bring it about in practice?
Inclusion, and inclusive education as a core part of inclusive societies, hold so much promise. Many of us want to be truly inclusive but don’t know how to get from idea to reality.
Work with us toward genuine inclusion!
Welcome to Toward Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (TEDI).
The TEDI approach is underpinned by a genuine commitment to valuing and embracing people in all our diversities. We seek to support you in working toward greater equity, diversity, and inclusion within your organisation. We have extensive experience with large and small projects and offer consultancy support for a range of endeavours, particularly in support of inclusive education..
If you require support for professional learning, producing or reviewing materials to support inclusion, fostering understanding or creating new knowledge through research, or communicating important but complex messages to support social change toward inclusion, equity and diversity then please read on!
If we want to know the future, we need only look to our children. The opportunities and experiences that we offer to children shape the world. With extensive experience, we offer support in growing inclusive education and inclusive early childhood communities. Let's work toward the world we hope for - right from the start!
Disability Equity Education is about valuing human diversity. It is an approach that builds on a social model understanding of disability. Disability Equity Education is underpinned by a recognition of social oppression that prevents equity, and it is focused on working actively to eliminate ableism. Work with us to engage in Disability Equity Education, which is an essential aspect of working toward equity, diversity and inclusion within and beyond education
Do you have a burning question you need to answer? Do you have a hunch or a hypothesis you want to explore? Are you seeing patterns and you want to understand these more deeply? Do you want to take a research based approach to inclusive education and disability equity education? We have extensive research experience and would love to work with you to help find the answers to your questions and create new knowledge as we work together toward a more inclusive world!
Communication is wonderful, diverse, exciting, and enables us to share what it is to be human across time and space. Communication is also about so much more than spoken language. There are common and deep seated beliefs about communication that often lead to misunderstandings. We offer workshops to extend your knowledge and confidence as communication partners, as you learn about and start to use a broader range of ways to communicate within and beyond inclusive education .
The words we use are powerful and important. Our words can show how we value diversity. Our words can support equity and inclusion. Sadly this is not always the case. Work with us to expand your understanding and use of inclusive language.
It is difficult to overestimate the joy, power, and possibility that comes with learning to read. We offer research-informed support to individual learners, teachers, learning assistants, parents, and support workers in working toward the wonderful world of independent reading. We believe in learning to read, reading to learn, and--ultimately--reading for pleasure!
Be the first to hear about upcoming workshops, special events, and news.

We have a particular focus on inclusive education, disability equity education, and accessible approaches to communication.
We work with early childhood settings, schools, government departments, and non-government organisations (NGOs). We also offer support to galleries, museums, and a range of other organisations who are committed to increasing inclusivity for people in all our diversities.
We look forward to hearing from you and working together toward a better world!
We acknowledge and honour the First Nations owners of the unceded land on which we live, work and learn. We pay our respects to the Elders, lores, customs, and creation spirits. This land always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
